robots.txt allows GPTBot

GEOWeight 7.0% (This check's share of the GEO score)Score 100

What this is

Whether your robots.txt (the file that tells crawlers which parts of the site they may visit) blocks GPTBot, the crawler OpenAI uses to collect data for training its AI models.

Why it matters

Blocking GPTBot mainly decides whether your content is used to train OpenAI's models. ChatGPT search uses a different crawler (OAI-SearchBot), so blocking GPTBot has little effect on showing up in ChatGPT search. Allowing it is your choice.

What counts as passing

Passes unless robots.txt has a section for GPTBot with “Disallow: /” (block the whole site); not scored if the site has no robots.txt.
