TTFB (Time to First Byte)
SEOWeight 1.5% (This check's share of the SEO score)Score 100
What this is
How long the server takes to start sending the page after the browser asks for it (Time to First Byte, TTFB).
Why it matters
A slow server makes everything after it slow too. It isn't one of Google's core metrics, but it's often the root cause of a slow page.
What counts as passing
800 ms or less passes; 800–1800 ms is a partial pass; over 1800 ms fails; not scored when no speed data was collected.
