Heading hierarchy
SEOWeight 1.5% (This check's share of the SEO score)Score 100
What this is
Whether the page's headings (H1 to H6, smaller number means higher level) go down in order, for example H2 then H3, without jumping from H2 straight to H4.
Why it matters
Headings work like a table of contents. When the order is clean, Google and AI engines can follow the structure and find the key sections more easily. Skipped levels have a small effect but make the structure look messy.
What counts as passing
No skipped levels passes; 1 skip is a partial pass; 2 or more fails. Moving back up to a larger heading doesn't count as a skip.
