Whether link text says where the link goes, such as "See opening hours", instead of "click here" or "learn more".
Why it matters
Google and AI engines use link text to understand the page being linked to. Text like "click here" carries no information for readers or machines. The effect is small, but it's easy to fix.
What counts as passing
Links that are empty, generic ("click here", "read more", "learn more", "here", "more" and Chinese equivalents) or just show the URL make up 20% or less passes; over 20% up to 40% is a partial pass; over 40% fails; not scored when the page has no links.
